Half Price Books, Records, Magazines, Incorporated and its affiliates (“HPB”, “we”, or “our”) are committed to respecting the privacy of our customers and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information provided or obtained in our stores, through our family of websites (the “Sites”), and submitted directly to us by or through our social media profiles and pages (collectively, the “Services”).

With Vendors and Service Providers
We may provide personal information to third-parties who assist us in maintaining and providing our Services, such as payment processors, shipping companies, and others. We do not share personal information with vendors or service providers to use for their own marketing purposes or any other purpose other than to provide our Services without your consent and require assurances that they will appropriately protect personal information entrusted to them by us.
With Third Party Sellers and Other Business Partners
When you use our Sites to order merchandise from a third-party seller, we will share your personal information with the third-party seller for the purposes of fulfilling your order, handling related inquiries, or forwarding comments concerning your order. We may also share such information with Monsoon Commerce, which acts as an intermediary for our third-party seller marketplace. The third-party sellers and Monsoon Commerce may use the personal information that we provide only for the purposes of fulfilling orders and for handling related inquiries.
Google Analytics and Advertising Services
We may use third-party analytics services, such as Google Analytics to understand how customers and others use our Sites. We may use third parties who help us advertise to visitors of our website when they visit other websites. Products that may commonly be used by minors under the age of 18, like textbooks or children’s books, are marketed through the Site and in our stores. However, products, including products for children, may be purchased on our Sites only by adults. Persons under the age of 18 may only review our Sites, and may do so only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 18 or knowingly allow such persons to register for an online account or to place orders or provide personal information through our Sites. If we learn that someone under the age of 18 has provided any personal information through the Sites, we will remove and permanently delete that information as soon as reasonably possible.
If you are a parent or guardian who believes that your minor under the age of 18 has submitted personal information or other information to us without your consent, please contact privacy@hpb.com. Once we verify that you are the parent or legal guardian, we will cooperate with you to discuss what, if any, personal information we have collected about your child and how that information may have been shared or used.
We are committed to maintaining the security of personal information. We employ a variety of technical, administrative and operational security measures commensurate with the sensitivity of the information we maintain to secure and protect the information we receive. Please remember, though, that neither the Internet nor any method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality and security of your account username and password.
Marketing Emails from HPB
If you no longer wish to receive email communication from Half Price Books, please click the unsubscribe link in the footer of every email we send or make changes to your subscription preferences in your HPB.com account.
Advertising and Analytics
We neither have access to, nor does this Privacy Policy govern, the use of cookies or other tracking technologies that may be placed on your computer, mobile phone, or other device you use to access the Services by non-affiliated, third-party ad technology, ad servers, ad networks or any other non-affiliated third parties. Those parties that use these technologies may offer you a way to opt-out of ad targeting and analytics as described below. Nevada Residents
Certain Nevada consumers may opt out of the sale of “personally identifiable information,” which includes first and last name, address, email address, phone number, Social Security Number, or an identifier that allows a specific person to be contacted either physically or online.
